I see Jacqueline feels very comfortable being among these old trees. I bet she loves this portrait as much as I do, Suz.
Suzanne: That she is, Viktor. She comes alive when she is among them. When I showed her the photo she commented on how much she loved the trees and about herself she said: "I didn't realize I am an old woman". Our perception of ourselves doesn't always match reality. The interior of her life is still one of a young woman and that is where we truly live our lives. Her surprise isn't so surprising after all.

She certainly looks a strong character, the way she is engaging with the camera. Perfect tones and composition.
Ingrid
Suzanne: Thank you, Ingrid. You are right. Jacqueline is a very strong character. She used to be a professional ballet dancer. Her way of moving and being in her world is very distinctive and fascinating.

This is the kind of image that would be the cover of an autobiography, Suzanne. If she writes it, I sure hope she chooses this photo!
Suzanne: I will share your thoughts with her, Ginnie. Thank you. smile

she certainly has presence!!

cheers

Rob

I like this a lot!
Suzanne: Thank you, Rob. She liked it too. smile
i want to listen to stories from her, her face is full of wisdom.
braw shot suzanne!
Suzanne: Thanks so much, Robert. Her stories are written in her movements, then and now still..She was a ballet dancer extraordinaire.
I was discussing age with my twelve year old this morning and saying very similar - that I surprise myself in the mirror each time, it's not how I perceive myself. It's a common thing.

Powerful portrait by the way.
Suzanne: My mother said, not that long ago, when she looked at herself in the mirror. She is 80..
"This is the worst thing that ever happened to me"..My child's heart broke when I heard her say that. I always saw her as someone who gracefully lived all the changes in her life. She had, still has, such an amazing and compelling beauty..the years have been much kinder to her than she realizes. Thank you, Jose.
Gran retrato, con mucha fuerza.

She really looks like part of the woods, and I feel wisdom all around - from her and the trees.
Jacqueline certainly looks like a strong woman, nothing frail about her. loving the textures in this portrait
Suzanne: Thank you for visiting so far into my archive smile
Jacqueline is one of those people who can embody complete delicacy and strength at the same time. A unique and very compelling combination.
This is another masterpiece of "long ago and far away"...The forest seems like the dark woods of legends, and Jacqueline is very much at home there.
Suzanne: Thank you, Patrushka. Jacqueline lives in the middle of the forest and every inch of it is her treasure. smile
