…in the light of a first timid ray of sun
the flower magic disappears…
Suzanne: ..and in the brazen rays of the setting sun
it all begins again....

I must own up to disliking most flower photographs, but have to say this is wonderful. The range of light tones against the deep black, the acute angle of the composition and the suggested movement in the breeze all make for a compelling image ;o)
Suzanne: Thank you very much, blackdog. Sometimes flowers have more to offer than initially meets the eye..a little atmosphere can do wonders. smile
that is simply a stunning image Suzanne and a cast iron Likey for me, well done.
Suzanne: a 'cast iron' thank you to you, Tim. smile
This is great, textures and motion and lighting.
Suzanne: Thank you, Nigel. smile

Yes, it is a wonderful- magic flower photo- a flower which begins to flow in the moon light, and it is a beautiful thought to think of the "Secret LIfe of Flowers" - the most flower-pics look rather statuary/statuesque- this one is full of gentle movement.
Suzanne: Thank you, Philine. It is easy to imagine flowers having a life all their own when we are not watching. Their ephemeral beauty could certainly do with a freedom beyond their static and root bound place in the ground.

Well, here be art, and no doubt. I like the possibilities of many stories: like each pair of eyes viewing the same photograph will see a different story and decide to interpret this a new way: one melancholy, one transcending, one mysterious... I like art/photography now for the shape of a story told inside a photograph. I like this very much.
Suzanne: I see them dancing, Iuliana...dancing the night away, a brief freedom under the moon. Thank you. smile

Un bel effet de flou...et un vibrant appel à l'imagination!
Suzanne: Merci, Rémi. J'avais tellement l'impression de fleurs dansantes qu'il m'a fallu trouver un moyen pour communiquer cette vision.
