Before the Rain
....went for a walk last evening..not a soul in sight... It started to
rain just moments after I took this shot with barely enough time to
shelter my gear. Hard to believe that I have a few shots taken before
this one when the sun blazingly made an appearance...lasted all but a
few minutes and then was gone...

The rain, the rain, so dominant this summer. Is it for you as much as it has been for us in Blighty?
Rain or not, that path doth beckon!
Suzanne: not quite as bad I don't think but not at all our usual summer. Usually by now we are under extreme fire hazards but that's not the case this year. I think we've had about one week of very hot and sunny weather...the sun comes and goes but doesn't seem to stick around too long...our planet she is a changin'....Thank you for dropping by, Jose.
Beautiful B&W. The sky dosent look so bad, just a little cloudy
Suzanne: Thank you, Tomas. The sky didn't look all that bad to me either. I was quite surprised when the rain started. I stayed a bit hoping it would stop soon but it just got worse and I had to head home.
Looks like a fabulous place for walking. Lovely black and white. (:o)
Suzanne: Thank you Rosalyn, this path is on one of my very frequent walks to the oceanside very close to where I live. It is an amazing place...any time of day, any season.
Nice B&W wich gives a great depth to the shot - Bravo !
Suzanne: Thank you Zeb. I felt the colour version just didn't have the feeling I was getting on this particular walk. The b&w version did the trick for me. Glad you like it!
Beautiful and striking photo, Suzanne. Zeb is right. There's a lot of depth to this shot.
Suzanne: Thank you, Kay. I have been trying to get this shot for a long time but the background water was always too washed out. Guess it took rainy clouds to make all the difference.
beautiul shot of your walks Suzanne, beautiful
Suzanne: Hi Patrick!..if I keep my eyes open, there is always something to be discovered on my walks..must be something like where you live too! Thank you!
there is poetry from all sides here suzanne.. the tree which covers, protects and creates... and the clouds which jumble overhead to loft to the lighthouse that seems to call to me: "sara - come visit me..."
you've got some good land here.. great love here as always friend suzanne... ~S.
Suzanne: Thank you, Sara...Hope this finds you in all the beauty your eyes are so attuned to...
a very lovely scene and very lovely image. mal

Suzanne: Thank you, Nicola...
Oh my, that is just perfectly composed. Well done.
Suzanne: Thank you John. I have been wanting to get this shot for quite some time..just worked out that evening..
Rain, what's rain?
Suzanne: Yeah right!..has your summer been the same? Thank you again..
